Brief Description of this Job
Ensuring that all SAB&T client base tax returns are submitted, follow-up on queries from SARS, and assisting the clients with their queries.
Application Requirements
Knowledge
- Knowledge of tax laws
- Knowledge of financial statements
- Keep abreast of legislation/industry changes
Experience
- 2 to 3 years working experience in a similar type industry
- Computer Literate (MS Office)
Qualifications
- Matric
- Certificate or Diploma in Taxation
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and completion of tax returns for companies, individuals and trusts
- Calculation of directives and submission to SARS
- Calculation of dividends tax and completion and submission of dividends tax returns
- Liaising with clients and SARS regarding tax affairs
- Attending to client queries and assisting in the resolution of queries and objections
- Calculation of capital gains tax
- Assisting with the structuring of salaries and calculation of tax
- VAT and PAYE registrations with SARS
- UIF and WCA registrations with the Labour Department
- Completion and submission of UIF and WCA declarations with the Labour Dept.
- Calculation, completion and submission of VAT201 and EMP201 returns
- Completion and submission of IRP5 certificates and EMP501 returns on Easy-file
- Application of tax clearances
- Registrations of individuals, companies and trusts for Income Tax
- Preparation and completion of Provisional tax for individuals
- PBO and NPO registrations
- General compliance/administrative duties
