Brief Description of the Quality Assurance Reviewer: Internal Audit Technical
The incumbent will be responsible for leading the Internal Audit Technical Division responsible for performing internal
and external assessments and providing guidance on compliance matters to the internal audit function and its clients.
Application Requirements
- Matric
- Certified Internal Auditor
- Completion of The IIA’s quality assessment training course or similar training equivalent to Performing an
Effective Quality Assessment (PEQA) & Building a Sustainable Quality Program (BSQP) - CAE or comparable senior internal audit management experience.
- Experience in performing internal and external assessments in the public sector will be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of the IPPF
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provided input into the development of Internal Audit Function/Business Strategy
- Assess and manage risk relating to non-compliance with IIA Standards
- Manage client relationships and client assignments
- Development of Quality Assurance Improvement Programme
- Scheduling of internal assessments of Nexia- SAB&T and its clients
- Lead teams that perform internal and external assessments of Internal Audit Functions
- Compile frameworks for assignments, execute the plan, set deadlines, and write reports
- Conduct interviews with the Senior management and Board/Audit Committee members during the external assessment reviews
- Presentation of reports to Senior Management and oversight committees
- Provide advice to staff and clients on the IPPF
- Responsible for managing staff on assignments
- Establishes standards of performance, and by review, determines that performance meets the standards; conduct performance evaluations
- Preparation and submitting of invoices to clients
- Collection of outstanding debts
- Responsible for staff development, coaching and on the job training
